“We are under way to prepare for that,” Alejandro Mayorkas, the director of the agency, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, said in an interview. Mr. Obama has told immigration officials that a legalization program would be part of legislation the White House would propose, said Mr. Mayorkas, who became director in August. The agency’s goal, he said, is to be ready to expand rapidly to handle the gigantic increase in visa applications it would face if the legislation, known as comprehensive immigration reform, passed Congress."

I know you are a very active member of this community and I have been following your posts for a while. Congrats on the GC!! Did you call them -TSC to remind them to process your application as your dates recently became current?
I got married this year to a person from ROW category. As such, my dates are current and I applied 485 for my wife and also asked my application to be considered in ROW. No LUDs on my case so far :(.. I have gotten receipts for my spouse. I am not sure how to shout out to TSC to process my application in ROW. .... any ideas...

I also got the same mail and I sent the letter to my company attorney who responded.
Please attach both the EB3 and EB2 I-140 approval notices, EVL from current employer which matches or similar to the one specified when you filed your EB2 labor. Also attach the latest paystubs.

Good that we see more proof of Apps received on Jun 29 getting receipted.
I am sure Aug 1st , NSC will become compaint to their receipting release and start receipting everyone who had applied till July 10th.

If you applied for a change status (like H4 - H1) or change of employer (like H1 - H1) or extension of stay (like H4 extension or H1 extension), while in the US, the I-797 approval notice will have an I-94 card as long as you were not out of status prior to filing your application. However, if you were out of status, then you wouldn't get the I-94 along with your I-797 and you are still out of status. You will have to leave the country and get a visa stamped on your passport before entering the US again. If you have been out of status, there is always the risk of being denied a visa at the consulate.

I guess this community is not for willful violators like you. Here we are trying to share information from/for people who follow rules. There are many people (anti-immigration lobbyist and anti-H1b lobby) reading this forum. This will give impression as if this forum is for giving advise to people like you who do not care for the law and will give bad name to IV. I guess you should cough up some money and get advise from a good immigration lawyer. Also, I would suggest a moderator or administrator to look into this matter adn have this thread removed.

My personal story has to do with being out of status as a minor due to the lack of resources that my parents couldn't keep me in status. Yes, my presence in the past violated the immigration law, but it was due to circumstances that were out of my control. And I've taken personal responsiblity to keep my records in accordance of the law ever since I reentered the US.
Your description of my story as "willful" violation is very judgmental and sounds like you feel righteous. But I bet you personally know someone who may have been out of status for one reason or another and I wonder if you are this confrontational and heartless with the person.
If you don't have words of encouragement or constructive feedback, then I suggest that you worry about your own. It doesn't take too much to get out of status given the current immigration system nowadays.

I know that with H1-B, one is not supposed to run his/her own business. But how about with EAD?
Yes, you can run a business on EAD.
You can own a business on H1-B too. But you cannot work for it . You can invest and have someone manage the operation for you. you can take profits but not work as an employee.
