Not really a fan of her's, just thought the pic was cool haha
Thanks to Melrose for sending me the icons. Hope i gave you a lot to go with now haha
Dude I love the Download icon. Imma make one for me now :D
BTW I made one for Bean word processor app if you'd like that too. I'm working on building a central place for the icons. If you want, I can share a folder in Dropbox where we can both have access to the files at any given moment.

Lets say his girlfriends parents say it's ok for them to sleep in the same room. Also, lets say that you also know that your son is having sex. Lets also say that your son has been going out with this girl for 3 months. So would you let him or not?
No.
No.

Are ipod touch 4g users supposed to use pwnage tool at all?
We're only supposed to use redsn0w right?
Also, my ipod touch 4g is at ios 4.3.
Do I have to upgrade to 4.3.1 and then install redsn0w and jailbreak it?
Finally, if you've jailbroken with it, HOWS IT WORKING OUT?:)

Are you able to only download the fixes? Otherwise it is a 600mb plus patch
It's a complete replacement of the iOS binaries and Apple-supplied apps.
I think I pointed this out earlier, but if you look back at the recent WP7 update fiasco where a bunch of Samsung hardware got bricked by the update, you'll understand why a patch might not be a great idea. Esp. given the number of jailbroken iPhones and iPads out there, that don't have the base OS that a patch might expect...

Hey,
I was wondering if anyone else would like to see a full RSS feed from MacRumors. I currently use Google Reader to combine all my RSS news and I hate only getting a small portion of the MacRumors posts that do not include the images or the full article like the site does.

Does anyone know if there is a way to remove the 4GB / 50 minute video recording cap? I used Greenpois0n to jailbreak, even though that likely makes no difference. I thought maybe there was something I could install to remove the cap.

Not sure if somebody has caught this yet, but there's HD content available already on iTunes this evening (screenshots attached). They're calling it AppleTV HD. It's just some podcasts right now, but I'd consider it a good omen.

Without even stepping into the whole "they're lying/they're not lying" debate, and since iOS and Android are the only really choices out there, I'm going with the option that doesn't have its sole business model built on knowing as much as possible about me and sharing it with third parties.
To anyone that thinks Google is giving that OS away for free for altruistic reasons, I have a bridge you might be interested in. ;)

Well I'm getting ready to go out tomorrow and purchase a brand new iPhone, but before doing so I made this post to see if anyone would be selling theirs for less than retail so I wont have to go out tomorrow and spend full retail plus tax on one.
Thanks and Happy Holidays!

I wonder how many of these posts are trolls? I haven't had any issues whatsoever with 4.3.1. I also didn't have any problems with 4.3; battery life has been absolutely stellar and call performance actually improved in 4.3.1.
The timing of all these "bitching" posts just seems suspicious.
Well, aren't you the lucky one! ;)
Unfortunately, I can also state that there are numerous issues cropping up after updating for me also.
1) Slide switch on lock screen sticking
2) Rapid decrease of battery life - huge concern given I am in Japan and am very keen to keep a high level of battery for emergency usage!! High priority - fix it Apple! No messing.
3) iOS devices not being able to find known favourite Wi-Fi networks and refusing to join them once they eventually find them.
4) APPLE TV behaving erratically
Should the list go on?

Went to the store bumped down our plan from the 1400 min plan to 700 min. Now we have unltd to any mobile, inbound and out bound!
Before I jumped on this I looked at all our device contact list and 90% are mobile numbers.

The terms of your contract have not changed.
Does part of the contract talk about early upgrades and how much it will cost? If that has changed, then terms of the contract have changed.

Against what I originally said I shelled out another $3 and bought the update. Was it worth the $3? no not really. Lost the themes. As others have said the UI is over designed and not completely functional. I have noticed some missing tweets, this is NOT acceptable.

All the while, the iPhone sales appear to be kicking ass...
Actually, I hate to start a flamewar, but iOS's marketshare seems to have leveled-off at around 25% of people who own smartphones.
http://www.businessinsider.com/android-iphone-market-share-2011-4
Maybe they don't really think that releasing an iPhone in June vs September is really going to matter? Maybe people who that are going to buy the iPhone have already done so and Apple believes that they have this group of people "locked-in"? Maybe they are satisfied with the 25% marketshare because they seem to be making tons of cash of this small, but wealthy group.
As for my iPhone 4, it already seems a bit dated and laggy (takes 10 seconds to open Camera, laggy keyboard when searching in Maps, choppy animations in games). I think this is a software problem though. If Apple came out with a much more efficient and smoother iOS 5 (that made my iPhone 4 feel like a new phone), I would be perfectly satisfied.

Usually I never encountered such a thing...
But that is exactly the point... 'Usually' is already no enough for a back-up medium.
The coaster rate for me is around 1:4 for the old burned CDs.
Just check your old CDs for fun. I am pretty sure you'll find some little surprises, also called 'read errors'... ;)
Sometimes just a few files are screwed, but if these files happen to be the file map in the root, the CD definitely has a new life as a coaster.. ;)

What version of CHUD are you using? is it the 3.5.2?
yeah it's 3.5.2 thats the right one for 10.4. Is it the same for 10.5?

Wow. Some of the most exciting non-"Apple product release" news in months, and it happens while I'm too busy with real work to keep up with the boards. Figures.
At any rate, congrats to all the new Mods (and even the mod mini :)). Excellent picks all the way around. It'll be nice to have the broader online coverage that overseas Mods will bring.
edesignuk, while I'll miss some of your more "entertaining" postings, even a toned down you is quite a bit of personality. Of course, now I won't have a chance to laugh at the "free iPod" morons in the morning, as you will have Wasted them before I get on. Small price.
bousozoku, Nermal, and WinterMute are all great choices. I have enjoyed their advice, wisdom, humor and observations in the few months I've been on MR. I have no doubt they will serve as great Mods.
There, that ought to be enough brown-nosing to start. Now, to go online and order four of those fancy massaging chair inserts....

What I've been waiting for is true javascript support for wysiwyg textarea editors. I run a Mac blog site and I have to ask users to use Firefox. It seems a little sucky to do that for a Mac specific blogger site. Since Safari 1.3 Apple said they included the nessesary "hooks" for these editors, but no one has been successful in getting any of them to work in Safari.
I downloaded the latest nightly build of Webkit and it still doen't work :(
WYSIWYG support is there and is improving all the time. The developers realize this is is an area of concern and it is on their compatibility hit list (http://webkit.org/projects/compat/hitlist.html). The latest TinyMCE development sources work very well in the WebKit nightlies.
If you discover a bug in your website, please report it using the guide (http://webkit.org/quality/reporting.html) on webkit.org. Bugs can't get fixed if the developers don't know about them.
