My company sponsored my EB-3 with PD of Feb 2007 and the I-140 was approved in Feb 2009. Based on the pending I-140, I filed my I-485 (AOS) application in July 2007. My I-485 case is still pending.
In the meantime, my company had been kind enough to agree to re-sponsor me for EB-2 PERM which was filed in Sept 2008 and the related I-140 was approved in July 2009.
Both my pending I-1485 and recently approved EB-2 I-140 share the same A number, while the earlier approved I-140 EB-3 has a different A number.
I wrote a letter to USCIS requesting them to link my recently approved EB-2 I-140 to the pending I-485, in the place of EB-3 I-140 and also port the earlier PD.
Since there is no response for more than 2 months, I called USCIS call center today. The call center person advised me that I cannot make such a porting request unless the Visa Bulletin is current for that PD of EB-2. I was shocked to hear such message. Please advise whether the call center person is correct in her interpretation. Thanks in advance.

I am in 6th year of H1 and my company is working to file Labor. If I include time spent outside US, I have time till April 25th to file it . I got a call from paralegal on my case, saying that process has changed since Jan 1 and we need to get prevailing wage from Washington which might take like 5 months? Is this true? Is it possible to submit job order based on my present salary hoping that prevailing wage will come lower than this number? Is this workable? Please help to advice. If nothing works, I need to start planning to leave US.

I am really excited to hear finally we got $60K to continue our approach to urge immigration reform. That is really great! I guess its time for us to dust off the good 'ol case status scanner from the shelf and start scanning starting from June 1. I remeber there was a website which used to do this, type in the last some digits of the wac/lin number and it will say the status. Do any of you guys knoew the website?
Also please update the thread if anyone got the receipt notices for june filing, i know its a little too early even for peope who have file on june 1

Hello - I just recd. the TRANSFER NOTICE for me & my wife's 485 case stating that the case has been transferred to USCIS-NBC, PO Box 648005, Lee's Summit, MO 64064. We had filed for AOS in July 2007 and my priority date for is April 2006 (EB-2).
I would appreciate it if somebody can please shed some light on what this means for us. What are the implications for us.? Will the case be transferred to the local office.? Should i start to gather documents for a interview.
Would appreciate any advice i can get. Thank you!

I have already moved to company B. Have an i-140 approved from company A in 09/2006. Now that my 6 years are over in 5 months, waiting for Fragomen to determine appropriate strategy for extension since new Perm has not been pending for 365 days. Anyone have experience with extending H1 using company A I-140 when with company B?

depends on what the job required per your labor cert. If it said 2 years, then even if you have 36 years of industry experience you need experience letters for only 2 years.
If you are going for EB2 and your LC says MS+1 year of experience, you need experience for 1 year. If your LC said BS+5 years you need 5 years worth. If your LC said the job requires expertise in VC++, your experience letter must mention VC++.
It is EB3 (PD 2001) and Lc did say that 3 years of experience and my first job almost have 2 years 8-9 months of experience. So I was thinking that USISC should not mind for letter of eperience for 3 remaining months..Current job ..I have been working now for 6.5 years....
Does it matter..Do you think it really matters..

Since your I-140 is approved, your chance of I-485 RFE is very low. I think you should be ok since the key is that on the day your I-485 is approved, you must have a job offer per your labor.

Did any one of you receive receipts matching above criteria. I-140 approved from NSC and 485 sent to NSC.
Also respond if anyone is in the same boat as me waiting for receipts and matching above criteria.
I am on the same boat with you, my application was received on July2nd at 9.01 AM(NSC) and signed by R. MICKELS, I-140 was approved from NSC.

I stumbled across this thread and this seems to be a great initiative that is managed professionally.
I browsed though the IV website and forums and have few questions regarding who IV is representing among the employment based immigrants:
1. I've a 3 yrs baccalaureate degree from India and have filed GC in EB3 category. How do IV initiatives helps me?
2. My friend have 4yr engineering degree from India and have filed GC in EB3 category. How do IV initiatives helps him?
3. My boss has Masters Degree from India and has 10 yr of experience. He filed his GC in EB2 category. Is IV for him?
4. One of my colleagues has just graduated from an US university and he filed his GC this year in EB3 category. Is IV for him?
5. My other colleague has completed his MS from an US university and he filed his GC in EB2 category. IS IV for him?
I would appreciate if someone can answer the above questions.
