I know its hard to get it noticed, but in order to make a real impact, we must strive to put this news on the front page of major media, while its sill hot. Last week CNN had an article on the front page regarding the "plight of hindu widows". I was baffled to see an article like that get the headline space and not a small comment from CNN about the JULY VB fiasco.

I need an info from some one who had filed AC21 with an attorney. I want to apply my AC21 and asked my attorney to do so. But he is asking for $1500.00. Is this amount normal or I was asked for an abnormal amount. I thought its just informing USCIS by sending a letter only. But, is he charging me $1500 just to draft a letter?
I am looking for a constructive answer instead of vague assumptions / replies. It's an urgent issue for me to deal with.

As per company immigration HR, "since H1B extension was filed (Jun-06-2008) one week after GC labor filing (May-29-2008), we can apply next H1B extension based on May-01-2011 expiry".
Can you please reaffirm that we ought to file extension based on April 16, 2010 and not May-01-2011.

An EB2 labor applied in March got approved in Sep.

You can break height of injustice from USCIS by filling this. (WOM)
learn more about it online.
i have seen personaly a person filling this and IO calling him in the office approving it and apolgising for delaying.
you can hear other success stories online about WOM. sometimes court ordered USCIS to pay back all legal fees to the filer.
you need two things for this.
Balls + Money
regarding class action lawsuit, i am not sure if it could be filed or not against USCIS

I was watching FOX News this afternoon around 3:00 pm EST and they talked about a Polish Lady sueing the USCIS. Her lawyer was on the show and he talked about the issue. The host then talked to a Congress man (i think it was Tom Lombardo and he said that the US is bringing in a way too many immigrants and the US should stop it for a few years). When asked if the woman was wronged he rephrased the word wrong by "was caused inconvenience". Anyways, the lady's lawyer hit the nail on the head. When asked if she was sueing to get a green card. Her lawyer said no. He said his client was sueing for financial damages and also for allowing her to submit her application as submitting the application has benefits.

I filed 485 on July 2 2007 through Company 1. I left the Company 1 on July 7 2007. Company 2 had filed for PERM in June that had an approval on July 16 2007. I wana apply for 140/485 through Company 2 (concurrent filing) by this July 2007. Can I have 2 pending 485 application? I dont have the receipt for 1st 485 as it was just filed on July 2.

They are in mid-30s and if they apply for residency they will finish at age 35yrs and then post-residency is another couple of years. Does mid 30s age in their favour?

Agreed.. But again something has to trigger the movement. Eg. I can understand that happening, if you file AC21 and you receive RFE. Or Your GC filing employer revoking your I 140 and you receive I-485 Denial letter etc.

all my expereince letter proir to 2002 ( I came US in 1999) and By the time I worked with two companys.
Now I got one company exp letter and other one closed and I couldn't able to get the letter. as per sources and attorney advice I am submitting coleague affidavit.
and also they asked me all w2's where I worked only few months in 2004 and w2 amount is not that great.
I am still fearing how do USCIS take in to consideration when they finalise the case.
Do you think all these are substantiate my case , or they may come with another RFE or denial..
Please advise me what I want to do, I haven't submitt my case yet.

I think there are few applicants between July 4 to July 17 because this the period of limbo - no one knows what to do and waiting for the August VB. I would guess it would not even reach 10% of those who filed in July 1 to 3.
Another guess is that the filers for July 20 to 31 are also many but not as many as July 1 to 3 filers.
I would suspect that there will be many filers before the August 17 deadline and it could be as many as July 1 to 3 filers.

I would agree that he should consult with an attorney. However, I am not sure if he needs to be in the country to file the 485. I am not sure about the medical though.

There is no fees for bringing foreign exchange into India. It is applicable to all passengers irrespective of their nationality or purpose of visit to India. However no import of Indian money is allowed by non resident Indians / foreign nationals. Indian residents can bring in up to Rs. 7.500.
